Dageki is the striking division of Katsudo. It emphasizes control, precision, and discipline through a structured competition format that honors both martial skill and personal character.
Dageki competitions consist of up to three 3-minute rounds, judged using a 10-point must system. Legal techniques include punches, kicks, spinning backhands, and knee strikes to defined target zones. Bouts are evaluated by three certified judges based on clean strikes, knockdowns, and ring control.
Matches are held in either boxing-style rings or cage enclosures, and safety is ensured through mandatory equipment regulations. Contestants wear 14–16 oz gloves depending on weight class and must use approved protective gear.
